How to Get to Çorum
All the ways to reach Çorum — by road, air and bus — plus the nearest airport, the rail situation and intercity distances, on one page.
🚌 By road / bus
The most common way to reach Çorum is by road. The city lies on the main Ankara–Samsun route, so there are direct intercity buses from many provinces. Coaches arrive at Çorum's intercity bus terminal (otogar), from where the centre is a short ride by city bus or taxi.
✈️ By air
Çorum has no airport of its own. The nearest is Amasya Merzifon Airport (MZH), about 65 km from the centre, serving domestic routes. For a wider flight network, Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB), about 230 km away, is an alternative; from there you continue to Çorum by bus or car.
🚆 By train
Çorum currently has no active railway line. However, the Ankara–Kırıkkale–Çorum–Samsun high-speed railway is under construction (the Delice–Çorum section was begun in 2025). Once complete, Çorum will be connected directly to the national rail network for the first time.

Getting around the city
Within central Çorum, city buses and taxis cover most needs. The historic centre, the bazaars and key sights such as the Çorum Museum are close together, so the centre can largely be explored on foot. For districts and archaeological sites like Hattusa and Alacahöyük, a car or organised tour is more practical.
