From the Hittite Fair and Festival to district harvest celebrations — Çorum's yearly festival calendar, with which event is usually held in which month.
Çorum's events calendar is spread mainly across late summer and autumn. From the big festival in the centre to the districts' local-produce celebrations, the city offers a colourful programme through the year. (Because exact days change year to year, the months below are given as "usually"; for current dates, check municipal and district announcements.)
International Çorum Hittite Fair and Festival
The province's biggest event. With a procession, folk dances, the Ottoman mehter band, artisan stalls, concerts and a fair ground, it is the peak of the city's summer calendar. Organised by Çorum Municipality and held every year for decades.
İskilip Dolması Culture and Arts Festival
Named after the district's signature registered dish, İskilip dolması; known for servings cooked in huge cauldrons, cultural programmes and tours through İskilip's historic fabric.
Osmancık Pırlanta Rice Culture and Arts Festival
Celebrates the geographically registered Osmancık rice. Timed to the harvest, it combines oil wrestling, communal pilaf and events around Koyunbaba.
Oğuzlar Traditional Walnut Festival
A harvest festival highlighting Oğuzlar walnuts, with local-produce stalls and cultural events.
Kargı Fair (panayır)
A fair rooted in a long tradition, known for trade, local produce and folk entertainment. (Exact dates vary year to year.)
Hitit University Science and Technology Festival
An academic event organised by the university, with science, technology and career-focused stalls and talks.
