Çorum Teknokent
Çorum Teknokent — officially the Çorum Technology Development Zone Managing Joint Stock Company — is a technopark that brings together universities, research institutions, and the manufacturing sector to strengthen the country’s industrial competitiveness internationally. The zone supports technological knowledge production, product and process innovation, technology-intensive manufacturing, and entrepreneurship, while accelerating the adoption of new technologies by small and medium-sized enterprises.
Establishment and Legal Framework
Çorum Teknokent was established under Law No. 4691 on Technology Development Zones and the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, with permission from the Ministry of Customs and Trade dated 10 May 2013 and numbered 3775. The Çorum Technopark Administration Building and Incubation Centre were built on approximately 17,000 m² of land.

Location and Infrastructure
The technopark is located approximately 13 km from Çorum city centre, within the Pınarçay Organized Industrial Zone. This location offers logistical advantages for industrialists, while proximity to the university and the OIZ enables rapid transition from R&D to prototyping and production.

Vision: To make Çorum Teknokent one of Anatolia’s leading technology production and innovation centres, and a hub that attracts R&D and design centres.
Support and Incentives
Under the Technology Development Zones Law, companies operating in Teknokent benefit from various tax and fee exemptions:
- VAT exemption: Deliveries and services within the zone are exempt from VAT.
- Withholding tax deduction: Withholding tax on R&D personnel salaries is reduced.
- Corporate tax exemption: Profits of the managing company and income from R&D activities are exempt from corporate tax.
- Customs duty exemption: Machinery, equipment, software, and hardware brought into the zone are exempt from customs duties.
- Property tax exemption: Real estate within the zone is exempt from property tax.
Consultancy is also provided for project applications to TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, Development Agencies, and EU funds.
Techno-Entrepreneurship and Incubation Centre
The incubation centre operated within Teknokent provides physical space, infrastructure, mentorship, and network access for young entrepreneurs and academics. University graduates, master’s and doctoral students, and researchers who graduated within the last 5 years can apply for techno-entrepreneurship capital support programmes.
Admission Conditions
Companies seeking admission to Teknokent are generally expected to:
- Carry out activities that enhance the country’s international economic and technological competitiveness
- Focus on R&D, innovation, and design activities
- Develop technology-intensive manufacturing or software
- Demonstrate potential for intellectual property generation
The application process is targeted to be completed within 60 days from the official application date.
