HİTİTSEM — Hitit University Continuing Education Centre
HİTİTSEM (Hitit University Continuing Education Centre) is the university’s lifelong-learning unit, bringing academic expertise to the city and the business world. It runs certified programmes for students, graduates, public and private sector employees, and citizens.
Programme Areas
HİTİTSEM’s current programme variety is broad:
- Vocational qualification courses — specialist training required by regulation, such as Class C Occupational Safety courses
- Software and IT — modules such as “Python Programming for Youth”; IT career programmes for bachelor’s graduates in cooperation with Çorum Teknokent
- Project development — trainings preparing participants for TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB and development agency grants, such as “Professional Project Development and Application Competence”
- Foreign languages — Turkish and English conversation practice programmes for students
- Corporate partnerships — qualified retail workforce programmes under the İŞKUR NİYEP protocol signed with A101
Cooperation with the Business World
HİTİTSEM’s most notable feature is linking training directly to employment:
- İŞKUR + A101: In courses organized under NİYEP (Qualified Workforce Development Programme), successful trainees are employed in the retail sector.
- Çorum Teknokent: Joint programmes offer new IT career opportunities to bachelor’s graduates.
These partnerships help keep university graduates in the region and meet the skilled-staff needs of Çorum firms.
